PELIN VEDIS
My roots have always been in the harder side of electronic music. But for a few years, I found myself exploring softer sounds, mainly Deep House and Minimal. At some point, I really missed that harder energy. Then I came across a flyer for one of the HARDER parties at EXIL in Zurich, connected to the Hardertrax collective. I knew immediately that I wanted to go. I went with two of my closest friends. One of them and I have been dancing together in clubs since we were teenagers. And what an evening it turned out to be. Old tracks we grew up with, mixed with new sounds. Hard Dance, Hardstyle, Trance and Bounce, all coming together without being limited to one genre. My friend and I kept looking at each other, recognising sounds from back in the day and absolutely loving every moment. That was also the evening I discovered Pelin Vedis. I remember telling my friend, "One day, she's going to play at one of my events." Some time later, I organised my first big event at Drugstore in Belgrade. And I booked Pelin. What started with a flyer and the desire to reconnect with my musical roots became one of those beautiful full-circle moments. Sometimes music brings you right back to where you belong.
SHDW
Sometimes the best connections start with something as simple as ordering vinyl. I discovered SHDW through Mutual Rytm and placed two orders shortly after each other, accidentally buying a few records twice. I reached out to ask if everything could be shipped together, and that's how my email exchange with Marco began. I ended up keeping the duplicates, and since then, I've actually grown to love buying two copies of certain records. One to play and one to preserve in my collection. Funny how a little vinyl shopping story can turn into a genuine connection through music.
MARA MARGANA
Sometimes the best discoveries happen unexpectedly. SHIBIDORRA took me to an open deck event at Dim Sum / Para Club in Belgrade, where I discovered Mara Margana playing the closing set. I was completely blown away. Her energy, her presence, her authenticity and, above all, her musical selection. I honestly hadn't danced like that in a long time. One of those unexpected experiences that reminds me why I love this scene so much.
DJ HYPERDRIVE
I discovered DJ Hyperdrive completely by chance and have since had the chance to experience him live at several events. And honestly, this guy is something else. His energy, his selection and the way he takes you on a journey through different sounds are incredible. I've danced to his sets myself, and every time I'm reminded why I love this music so much. Definitely an artist worth keeping an eye on.
